Cavan Chamber is co-hosting a Cybersecurity Awareness Workshop with ICT Skillnet on Wednesday 22nd May from 9.30am to 1.00pm in Farnham Arms Hotel.
The course is suitable for anyone who wants to build their overall awareness of cybersecurity and improve their ‘cybersecurity hygiene’ – so they avoid the obvious pitfalls and help prevent being caught by cybersecurity breaches.
This interactive course aims to make learning about cybersecurity easy, effective and enjoyable. It will introduce the world of cybersecurity and help participants to understand what they need to know and do to keep themselves and their workplace safe and secure. No prior knowledge or experience of cybersecurity is required to do this course.

Our member Danny Barr from Cinnte Technologies will be one of the IT Security experts speaking at the Cybersecurity Awareness Workshop being organised in association with Cavan Chamber of Commerce and the ICT Skillnet. Danny is an expert in multiple areas of IT having set up his own business in Cavan town in 2010.
Cinnte Technologies was established in 2010 with the goal of providing the best IT Services to small and medium sized businesses and schools in Cavan, Meath and Monaghan.
Today Cinnte is actively working towards achieving that goal and currently support over 1,500 users and increasing all the time.
Danny holds a BA in Computers and Business from Athlone IT as well as a Masters degree in IT Security and Computer Forensics from DCU. He has also completed additional training in Ethical hacking. Danny has lectured in various IT & CCTV modules in Cavan Institute and been an active member of Cavan Chamber of Commerce for many years.
Danny is passionate about IT and the growing importance of cyber-security to small and medium sized businesses in the Cavan area and beyond. He wants to create greater awareness of this among business owners and their employees to protect their organization and clients against online fraud. Danny is active in the community and is also a member of the local Fire brigade within Cavan urban area.
Danny will continue to reach out and educate SME owners and employees on cyber safety and actively promoting safety and prevention of any cyber crime or theft.
