Over 250,000 people are expected to gather in Cavan town between the 16th and the 22nd August this year for the biggest festival this town has ever hosted. 

Sponsored by Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann and Cavan County Council, people from all walks of life are currently busy with preparations to deliver a Fleadh as good as, or better than, previous Fleadhanna. 

Cavan Chamber of Commerce has been involved with the Fleadh since last year when the town prepared and successfully bid to host Fleadh2010. 

It is expected that the Fleadh will generate in the region of €30m in revenue for the town and, provided we get it right, it is likely that Cavan will host the Fleadhanna for 2011 and 2012.
